Former student and RTFM reader, Krystian Karia – has sent me a rather helpful and useful whitepaper he wrote – the subject is how to move the virtualcenter database files from one SQL box to another. Apparently, this isn’t widely documented or tested against the virtualcenter databases – which is where Krystian comes in. Currently, I’m running on SQL 2000 and I’m concerned about this being unsupported in future versions – of course, I could just do a clean install – but I figure on using Krystian’s guide to see what a move from SQL2K>SQL2K5 might be like.

If anyone else out there has useful articles they would like to distribute or promote – just drop me a line. I’m always interested in hard-to-find, not-very-documented stuff!
