ESX3i to become free?
Well to big time bloggers (virtualization.info) and chriswolf.com. Are both reporting an unconfirmed rummour that ESX3i is to become free – so the hypervisor & VMFS is a commodity. There’s no offical statement from VMware next week. Not sure what virtualization.info sources are – I’ve not signed any NDA or roadmap that would hint that that this was likely. I guess virtualization.info has better sources than me!
