Some Useful VMware Stuff

VMware have Exchange 2007 on Vi3, Internal Study
This one has done the rounds of the blogs, but it was Jason Boche who showed how you could Increase number of concurrent VMotions…
Lostcreations.com (the guys who brought out the SVMotion plug-in have released their “Virtualization Mobile Manger”. Being able to VM management from a mobile. I don’t think this is especially new – as I recall someone (Citrix) releasing a tool like this a couple of years ago. Anyway, my phone has a touch sensitive screen, if I don’t lock it, it can sometime call my girlfriend. We have joke that my phone misses her. Anyway, I wonder what would happen if I left it logged into my VC environment.
Veeam has new version of their popular FastSCP tool. I thought the new datastore browser might put paid to to WinSCP and FastSCP. But I was wrong, FastSCP is still more reliable than the datastore browsers, and faster than WinSCP…
David Marshall on his vmblog.com has a top notch rant about an aleged “Class Action Lawsuit Against VMware? Talk about Bailout Fever!”. It’s really nice to see David actuall riff and rant about something he clear feels passionate. Basically, it seems like everyone who’s ever made an investement or bought some shares thinks its up to the Government (the Taxpayer) to compensate them!
Cormac Hogan is support guy based out in Ireland. I briefly met him at last months VUGIE (Virtualization User Group Ireland). One of the top things Cormac has done is written some “SRM How To Docs” which covers the configuration of various storage vendors with SRM. Something I would have loved to do more of with the SRM book.
